Harvest Fair

The Harvest Fair will take place at the Grain Elevator site on Sat. September 21 from 10 am – 2 pm. Please share this event with your family, friends, school children and colleagues

· Learn about the history of Spruce Grove and what role elevators played in the area.
· We will be displaying vintage farm machinery and several vintage tractors. You will be able to view an old grain cleaning machine and antique wood splitter.
· Rarely seen “hay stooks” will be scattered around the elevator site. Great photo opportunity.
· Climb aboard an old-style hayride pulled by a vintage tractor. Required age: anyone that feels like or…is a kid.
· Try your skills at the old-fashioned games.
· Listen to accordion music played by a local volunteer.
· Concession food on site (home made chili, hot dogs, hot apple cider). Proceeds from food sale will go towards the grain elevator maintenance fund.
· All activities are free.
· Bring non-perishable food for the Parkland Food Bank.
· A visit to the last wooden Grain Elevator site will bring the community closer to its prairie heritage.
· A valuable lesson for the next generation about preserving our past to protect our future.
