Tri‑Region Hunger Day Presented by North American Construction Group brings Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County together in a powerful show of unity, compassion, and community action. As a region‑wide initiative, Tri‑Region Hunger Day raises food and funds to support local families who are experiencing food insecurity. Because the need continues to grow across the Tri‑Region, the event encourages residents to take meaningful action close to home.

Although hunger affects individuals differently, food insecurity remains a shared challenge throughout our communities. Tri‑Region Hunger Day Presented by North American Construction Group helps shine a light on this issue while offering a practical way for people to get involved. With support from local grocery stores, generous sponsors, and dedicated volunteers, the event demonstrates how collective action can strengthen the safety net that so many rely on. As a result, the impact reaches far beyond a single day.

🎯 Our 2026 Goal:

This year, our goal is to raise $60,000 and collect 20,000 lbs of non‑perishable food. These contributions directly support essential programs that ensure families in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County have access to nutritious food during difficult times. When we reach these goals, we are not only filling shelves but also nourishing hope, dignity, and stability for those who need it most.

Tri‑Region Hunger Day is more than a fundraiser, it serves as a reminder that hunger is a community issue—and that community is the solution. Whether you donate, volunteer, share the message, or participate in the event, your involvement helps build a stronger, more compassionate Tri‑Region.

Together, we can make a lasting difference. Together, we can fight hunger. Together, we can uplift local families and create meaningful change.

Coldest Night of the Year 2026 Was Our Most Successful Yet

On Saturday, February 28, Parkland Food Bank hosted our annual Coldest Night of the Year Walk and it was an incredible success.

This year marked the most successful CNOY in Parkland Food Bank history. The level of support, generosity, and community spirit we witnessed was truly inspiring.

Coldest Night of the Year is more than a walk. It is an opportunity to come together as a community, to raise awareness, and to stand in solidarity with individuals and families in our region who are experiencing food insecurity. Events like this shine a light on real issues that impact people right here at home.

We could not have achieved this milestone without the many dedicated walkers who braved the cold and spread awareness, the generous donors who gave so compassionately, our valued sponsors who stood behind this important cause, and the countless volunteers and helping hands who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring everything together.

Every registration, every donation, every shared post, and every step taken made a difference.

Because of our walkers, donors, sponsors, and volunteers, Coldest Night of the Year continues to grow in impact and reach. The funds raised will directly support the work of Parkland Food Bank and help ensure individuals and families in our community have access to the food and support they need.

To everyone who played a part in this remarkable evening, thank you. Your compassion and commitment are what make our community stronger.
