Hiring – Client Services Manager

Position Overview:

Parkland Food Bank is hiring a Client Services Manager. Join our team and lead initiatives to enhance support provided to food bank clients, ensuring efficient and compassionate support for those in need. We are searching for a compassionate individual motivated by addressing food insecurity in the community.

The Client Services Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing day-to-day operations related to food bank client services, fostering positive client relationships, and providing support to our Clients Supervisor staff members.

Responsibilities:

Client Relationships:

  • Serve as the point of contact for food bank clients with complex needs.
  • Address food bank client concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and empathetic experience.

Supervision and Mentorship:

  • Oversee and provide mentorship to the Client Services Supervisors.
  • Ensure the team is equipped to handle day-to-day client service operations effectively.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Actively engage with the community and local partners to expand the food bank’s reach.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze client-related data to inform decision-making.
  • Identify trends in demand, improve resource allocation, and develop targeted outreach programs.

Crisis Management:

  • Play a crucial role in adapting operational strategies during crises or increased demand.
  • Collaborate with the executive team for broader crisis management and strategic planning.

Internal Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between frontline staff and the executive team.
  • Ensure smooth communication channels, streamlining internal processes for a cohesive organizational culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work required.
  • Community Support Worker Diploma will be considered.
  • Proven experience in human support services, operations management, or related roles.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Job Type:

Full-time (40 hours per week)

Hours of work may vary and can include evenings and weekends.

🍲 Parkland Food Bank provides free food support to residents of Parkland County, Spruce Grove, and Stony Plain, distributing over $250,000 worth of food every month.

This year, our CNOY focus lies in fundraising to sustain our egg and produce purchases for the year 2024. In 2023 alone, we distributed an impressive 20,273 cartons of eggs and over 90,000 kilograms of fresh produce through our hamper program. These essential food items play a crucial role in providing well-rounded hampers for local families in need.

Raise $86,000 by February 24, 2024, and we need YOUR help! πŸ€

πŸ† Be a Team Captain:

We’re looking for 35+ Team Captains of all shapes, sizes, and ages. Recruit 7-8 friends, aim to raise $2000 per team, and make a real impact in our community.

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Be a Walker:

Join our teams and help us raise the funds needed to combat hunger in our community.

🎩 Toque Bonus:

Raise $75 (youth 17 and under) or $150 (for adults), and receive our famous Coldest Night toque as a thank-you for being an amazing fundraiser!

This year, we’re shaking things up to bring more unity and fun to the event. Get ready to bundle up and embrace the wintery night, as the entire event will be held outdoors at our beautiful Jubilee Park in Spruce Grove. We’ll be gathering at the picnic shelter with the red roof for registration, where you can enjoy hot drinks and toasty fires to get you on your way!
