Our goal with the 2022 PFB Charity Golf Tournament is to raise $65,000, making sure all families of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Parkland County have access to emergency food supports!
ABOUT PARKLAND FOOD BANK SOCIETY
Parkland Food Bank (PFB) was founded in 1985 by like-minded individuals who wanted to make a positive difference to community members of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Parkland County who struggle with food insecurity. The organization started serving consistently out of a church basement and has since grown exponentially to being one of the fastest growing volunteer-led organizations in the Tri-Region.
In 2021, through support like yours, we were able to provide 9,330 children and 14,068 adults enough food for approximately 8-10 days! That equaled:
- $752,865 worth of pantry items
- $270,301 worth of meat
- $58,573 worth of eggs
- $38,363 worth of milk
- Other Dairy (yogurt, cheese etc.)
- Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
- Bread, Buns, Specialty Breads, Pastry
- Miscellaneous Frozen Goods
- Paper Products (toilet paper, paper towel)
- Personal Hygiene Products (toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, body wash, soap)
- Baby Products (diapers, baby food, formula)
We are so very proud of all the hard work, dedication and amazing hearts it has taken to accomplish these great achievements. We have been pushed farther than ever before, and that is only possible by the compassion of you and the donor community that supports us!
